A few weeks ago I received a positive facebook message from a parent about our school. The parent is Temika Hier, here is her message:
‘I love our local public schools and the opportunities they afford all children in the area.
I love that our children can attend a school that doesn’t require travel, freeing up their time to play outside. I love that our children can attend a school that affords us the ability to engage in pursuits of interest outside of school. Most of all, I love that our children can attend a school that accepts and celebrates diversity, that instils compassion and empathy, and is building resilient little people.
Thank you for highlighting the collaboration between schools in the local network. I love the way our local schools, (particularly the three sites in Riverton) interact and work collaboratively.
People often forget, that for every negative story spread, a handful of positive stories are overlooked.
There is a lot of love and thanks for you, your staff and the awesome work you do. Thanks Temika.
