Riverton Kindergarten

Play – Relationships – Community – Sustainability

Riverton Kindergarten is set in the heart of Riverton, a rural town located 96km north of Adelaide in the Lower Mid North. The Kindergarten offers a variety of services to the local community including Preschool, Rural Care (long day care and before and after school care) and Playgroup for children aged from 0 – 12 years.

Through a play based curriculum, we encourage all children to have a growth mindset and to view themselves as capable and active learners through our Visible Learning focus. Riverton Kindergarten supports families as a child’s first and most important teacher and we value their involvement in their child’s learning journey at the centre.

Riverton Kindergarten prides itself on its large and inviting natural outdoor environment. We have a focus on sustainability and understand the positive impact the natural environment has on children’s development. We are passionate about providing opportunities for children to experience nature and to learn to respect and care for our country.

The Kindergarten is actively involved in the community and encourages community participation. A number of Riverton services including the Community Library and Senior Citizen’s Home, are an integral part of our Kindergarten program. We value and continue to deepen the strong ties with both Riverton Primary School and Riverton and District High School, through our shared visions, events and transition processes.
