As part of the transition from Primary School to High School, it is important for students to get to know their Home Group teachers and Coordinator well. We do this by having a Year 8 day where we spend the day together and do some getting to know you activities and work together in groups/pairs. Students were also able to spend some time with their Peer Support leaders to build on these relationships as well.

Peer Support is a valued subject within our school, where Year 8 students are grouped with Year 11 students to work together once a week. The Year 11 students plan the lesson and conduct the activity with the Year 8s under teacher supervision. This makes the gap between junior school and senior school much narrower.

The day we held in 2017 was very successful, thanks to the pizza lunch and the best part of all being the MASSIVE water fight at the end.
